Quick Info:
The losing streak sits at 18 games. This is another week to snap that streak. a streak no team wants. This week is Homecoming at McCaskey, and in rolls Cedar Crest. I'd pack my umbrella if I were you, it always seems to rain when these two teams meet. The last time the skies were clear in a McCaskey/Cedar Crest game was the 2004 season, TRUE STAT. None the less McCaskey looks to have Senior QB Adrian Westbrook back under center this week after he missed last week with a high ankle sprain.
McCaskey is inching closer and closer too that ever illusive 1st win, in almost 2 full seasons. The defense has picked it up, not allowing over 300yrds. of offense since Week #3. A BIG improvement since the D allowed over 400yrds each of the first 2 weeks and 327yrds to Coatesville. This is why the Defense numbers on McCaskey are so deceiving. The Offense needs to hit it's stride for it too all come together. They managed just 332yards the last two weeks.
As for Cedar Crest they started the season 2-1, before losing 4 straight. The Falcons have rushed for 963yrds this season on 219 carries for a 4.4avg with 12 scored. The passing game has completed 58% of it's passes... 48 of 83 for 731yrds 6TD's and 0, yes, ZERO interceptions. As for the Falcon defense they've surrendered 1,453yrds on the ground on 263 carries, that's a 5.5avg while giving up 19TD's. Their pass defense has allowed, 936yrds.
Opponents have completed 81 of 140 passes (58%), and 5 TD's.
Here is a run down of the scores in McCaskey/Cedar Crest games over the past 10yrs.
2008: Cedar Crest won 49-17
2007: McCaskey won 18-13
2006: McCaskey won 34-13
2005: Cedar Crest won 42-17
2004: McCaskey won 28-7
2003: Cedar Crest won 19-10
2002: McCaskey won 9-0
2001: Cedar Crest won 20-7
2000: Cedar Crest won 51-43
1999: Cedar Crest won 42-32
Cedar Crest has outscored the Red Tornado 256-215 over that span. McCaskey however leads the over scoring in the series, 638-565.
Will the 18 game losing streak come too an end? We'll find out this Friday!
